Back 2 Basickz Youth Support Services was founded with the primary objective of creating a safe space for marginalized and racialized youth to come together, acquire essential life skills, and build a solid foundation for their futures.
Our mission revolves around empowering marginalized and racialized youth by offering comprehensive support in various aspects of life, including mental health, education, employment, and social integration. We strive to break the cycle of poverty that many of these youth experience by providing them with valuable resources, and the tools to help them excel and overcome the challenges they are experiencing.
Our aim:
A) Provide youth with academic upgrading through free tutoring, post-secondary assistance and various trainings.
B) Provide youth with economic and employment opportunities through entrepreneurial workshops, job shadowing, volunteerism and business fundamentals.
C) Provide youth with transitional housing support and post in incarceration soft-landing programs.
D) Provide youth experiencing mental health crisis to access counselling and emergency mental health crisis intervention.
